After high school, she attended the College of Charleston where she had the opportunity to participate in missions at all levels – local community, in various states, and internationally in Honduras. A native of Lancaster, SC, Charlene has always been active in church and began working in church music at the age of nine. Her piano teacher, Mrs. Sarah Walker, deserves a lot of the credit for Charlene’s love for music, especially sacred music. During her first 3 ½ years of college, Charlene served as music director and organist at a Methodist church. She is a graduate of Winthrop College in Rock Hill, SC, where she received her B.S. in Piano Pedagogy. Charlene began her ministry as Music Director at St. Giles Presbyterian Church in April 2002. Her hobbies include reading, gardening, riding a Honda Goldwing motorcycle with her husband, Hugh, and music, music, music!

Kevin Edens began his musical education at age 5, and has since served at the keyboard in various mainline worship traditions. He joined the staff at St. Giles in April 2016. Kevin is a 2013 graduate of the IB Program at Southside High School, Greenville, SC. Currently a senior at Furman University, he is pursuing a Bachelor of Music degree in Organ Performance. Kevin is an active member of both the Greenville AGO Chapter and Southeastern AGO Chapter of Young Organists, the latter of which he serves as a board member. He enjoys collaborative musical opportunities, particularly chamber music groups.

Debbie is originally from Pennsylvania and has been with St. Giles Preschool since January 2000. She began teaching in the two year old class and subsequently moved up to the 3’s and 4’s. In January 2005, Debbie took over the position of Director. Prior to that her addresses included El Salvador, Texas and Georgia where her love of teaching preschoolers began. She taught at St. Thomas Episcopal Day School for six years. She truly believes that “it is not what you do for the children but what you have taught them to do for themselves that will make them successful human beings,” and preschool is…

Wanda is a native of Greenville, SC, and has served on the staff at St. Giles since May 1994. Prior to that she was employed at Dun & Bradstreet for eleven years. Wanda and her husband, Robbie, have three children—two daughters, Ashley and René, and a son, Robbie II, and three grandchildren, Bryson, Olivia, and Avery. Her hobbies include gardening, reading, movies, and spending time with family and friends.
