It is through practice that we stay connected to our Christian way of life. How do we do this? Through worship, reading of scripture, prayer, sharing our concerns, and outreach, etc. All of these things are part of our Christian practice. Why do we do these spiritual practices? So that we pay attention to God, to try and hone our Christian characters, and to help nourish our souls.
Yoga is a practice that helps discipline our bodies. It helps embody other practices too like those of stretching, being still, listening, praying and using our breath. If your spiritual practice could use a boost, a little more discipline, or if you simply want some time to be solo on a mat with other practitioners, then join us on Thursday nights at 6:00pm in Fellowship Hall for Yoga. Newcomers are encouraged to give it try. Questions? Call Brenda Drake or Anita McLeod.
The Literary Ladies are a group of women who share in the joy of fellowship as they read and reflect upon a common book together. The group typically reads one book each month, and gathers to discuss and reflect upon their reading. A wide variety of spiritual, historical, and biographical texts have been included.

Friendships are made and deepened at our Men’s Lunch, which offers a great time for fellowship and getting to know each other on a more personal basis. We meet each Monday at 11:45 AM at Fried Green Tomatoes, 1175 Woods Crossing Road, Greenville (near the mall). If you like bad jokes, good poems, and attentive service at this upscale meat-and-three, this is your place. Tom Burrows is our recording secretary and with the exception of attendance, nothing is recorded. Cost of lunch and tip is about $11. Please join us on Mondays – you will truly enjoy getting more out of your St. Giles Membership.
