St. Giles will offer a different kind of Bible study with a small-group study beginning October 17. The Disciple Bible Study classes are designed to allow students to read approximately 80% of the Bible in 34 weeks. Classes will meet weekly on Tuesdays from 7:00-8:30 PM in the church parlor; Lisa Greaves will be leading the class. Please contact the church office (244-4887; email@example.com) to get your name on the list. Places may be limited.
A personal story from Lisa Greaves follows below.
"When our younger daughter started first grade I twice tried to read the entire Bible by myself. I failed both times. The following year our church in Ohio offered the Disciple Bible Study classes. It was designed as a small group experience that met weekly. Thoughtful and occasionally lighthearted discussions were the norm for our group which was led by a member of the congregation.
