Join us for our next movie matinee day on Friday April 27, as our group sees I Feel Pretty at Regal Cinemas on Woodruff Road. The movie time should be 1:20pm, but we will not know for sure until Tuesday evening, April 24. The time will be confirmed in the Thursday E-News. If you're planning to go, please confirm with Linda Reinke by phone or email no later than Thursday April 26 so the group knows you are coming. It should be a fun afternoon. Please join us!
St. Giles will celebrate its 45th anniversary on the first Sunday of May! Following worship, we'll have lunch in the pavilion at St. Peters' Episcopal Church across the street. You are invited to wear comfortable clothes and shoes. F-Troop will provide barbeque, buns, chips, and drinks. Please bring sides and/or desserts to share (serving utensils are not needed). F-Troop will receive food in the gym kitchen beginning at 9:00am. Should there be heavy rain, we will hold the luncheon in the gym. For more information or questions, please contact Starla Taylor or the church office.
St. Giles Preschool will be offering a summer program for children ages 2 through Grade 3. (If your child attended St. Giles in the 1 year old class but has yet to turn 2, they are invited to participate as well). Enrollment forms are available in the church office, which must be returned with a non-refundable registration fee of $50.
There will be 6 three-day sessions from 9:00am-12:30pm.
We hope you'll consider worshiping with us as our Lenten journey continues with Holy Week worship services.
Our Annual St. Giles Easter Egg Hunt is scheduled for Saturday, March 24, at 10:00am. This event is fun for the whole family - everyone is warmly invited to join us.
Members and friends of St. Giles: we are in need of donations of individually wrapped candies that can fit inside plastic Easter eggs. Candy may be placed in baskets next to member mailboxes in the narthex/lobby. Thanks so much for your support of this community ministry. Make plans now to attend and begin inviting friends.
Members and friends are invited to our annual Greenville Swamp Rabbits Hockey outing on Friday, March 23, at 7:00pm! Tickets are $12/person, with checks made payable to St. Giles and 'hockey' in the memo line. Email Pastor TJ (email@example.com) to RSVP.
Join us in the Fellowship Hall next Sunday, February 11, from 9:15-10:15am for a “drop-in style” continental breakfast to meet and welcome Rev. Jennifer Fouse Sheorn and her family to St. Giles. (Note: Sunday School classes for adults will not meet next Sunday; classes for children will begin around 9:45am, after children and their teachers have had a chance to visit with Pastor Jennifer).
Meet and Greet for the Sheorn Family

Join us Wednesday, February 14, for our Ash Wednesday Service as we mark the beginning of the Lenten season. We will begin with fellowship and dinner around the tables in Fellowship Hall at 5:45pm. Worship follows at 6:30pm in the sanctuary, with a meditative service led by Pastors TJ and Jennifer.
Please RSVP for dinner reservations so we can ensure we have enough. The menu for dinner is Greek Baked Chicken, Fingerling Potatoes, Greek Salad, Rolls, and Cookies. Cost is $6/adults, $4/children, with a family cap of $20. Sign up on Sunday mornings in the Friendship Pad during worship, or by contacting the church office.
Join us on Sunday, January 21, for our annual Thornwell Sunday! Rev. Elliot Smith, President of Thornwell Home for Children, will lead a special presentation that morning (Adult classes will meet in the Fellowship Hall; classes for children and youth will be in their classrooms, as usual). Rev. Smith will also be the guest preacher in our worship service. Join us as we learn about and celebrate the ministries of Thornwell Home!
Join us on Sunday, January 14, as we gather to say "farewell" to Rev. Matt Matthews and his family, and to celebrate all that God has done in our midst over the last 13+ years of ministry together.
Worship begins at 10:30am in the sanctuary. Matt will preach his last sermon at St. Giles that morning, and the Matthews family will be commissioned for all that God is calling them to next.
Following worship, we'll enjoy a catered luncheon in the gymnasium, before returning to the sanctuary for a special farewell program (which will begin around 1:00pm).
As a reminder: please return completed "Memories of Matt" cards in advance, so that they may be compiled for the family.
